The El Paso Scottish Rite Driver-Rider Program aims to make transportation to and from El Paso Scottish Rite activities available to fraternity members unable to drive themselves.

Driver Duties:

  •  Set expected pickup and drop-off times.....and stick to it!
  •  Give as far advanced notice as possible of scheduling changes that may prevent or delay a pickup/drop-off
  •  Be able and willing to assist brethren that may need more time and help getting in/out of the vehicle and building

Rider Duties:

  •  Be ready to go when your driver arrives to pick you up, be ready to leave when he's ready to leave
  •  Give as far advanced notice as possible of scheduling changes that may prevent you from riding
  •  At all times, be courteous to the Brother offering his time (and wheels) to you

How is this going to work?

Scottish Rite Masons interested in participating in the Driver-Rider program as a driver must provide:

  • Area of town (neighborhood, major intersection or landmark) you are willing to service
  • Meetings and activities you intend to participate in
  • Expected pickup and drop-off times
  • Scottish Rite Masons interested in participating in the Driver-Rider program as a rider must provide:
  • Pickup and drop-off location
  • Meetings and activities you intend to participate in
  • Requested pickup and drop-off time
  • Notice that you will need assistance getting in/out of the vehicle/building

Signing up for the Driver-Rider program as a driver does not obligate you to serve as a driver. It merely lets the Scottish Rite know that there may be an opportunity for a Brother to assist another Brother in attending a Scottish Rite activity. The Scottish Rite will provide rider information and you can make the decision on if you can assist or not.

Signing up for the Driver-Rider program as a rider does not guarantee that you will be paired with a driver! It lets the Scottish Rite know that transportation is needed and the Scottish Rite will work with drivers to fill that need.
